"Rev. Lee Carbaugh, County Native, Dies Rev. Lee Otis Carbaugh, 69, McGaheysville, Va, died Friday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the Rockingham Memorial Hospital, Harrisburg, Va. Born October 15, 1889, in Adams County, Rev. Mr. Carbaugh was the son of the late McCullen F. and Flora Deardorff Carbaugh. He had been in the Evangelical and Reformed ministry since 1916. He is survived by his wife, the former Anna Ruth Knouss; one daughter, Mrs. Bernard Rupert, Kittanning, Pa., and a son, J.L. Carbaugh, McGaheysville, Va. Funeral services Monday morning at 11 o'clock at the Brown Memorial Church of McGaheysville, the Rev. Dr. Frederick Eyster, president of the Potomac Synod occifiating, assisted by Rev. B.L. Stanley. Interment Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock in Arendtsville with Rev. Nevin R. Frantz officiating at the graveside service."

Mrs L. O. Carbaugh Mrs Anna Ruth Knouse Carbaugh , 81, widow of the Rev. L. O. Carbaugh, died Wednesday afternoon in the Rockingham Memorial Hospital, Harrisonville, Va., where she had been a patient since last Thursday. A native of Adams County, Mrs. Carbaugh was admitted to the hospital after she suffered a broken hip in a fall at the Bridgewater Home for the Aged, Bridgewater, Va., where she had been a resident for some time. Her husband, who was pastor of the Rockingham United Church of Christ for 20 years, died July 24, 1959. Mrs. Carbaugh was born in Arendtsville, a daughter of the late John A. and Ada Camp Knouss, and formerly was a schoolteacher in Adams County. She was a graduate of Catawba College, Salisbury, N.C., where she majored in voice. She was married to Rev. Carbaugh in 1914 and lived for a number of years in Salisbury, where he was pastor of a church for many years before accepting the Rockingham pastorate in 1939. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gwendolyn Rupert, Kittaning, Pa.; a son, J. L. Carbaugh, McGaheysville, Va., two grandchildren; and a half-sister, Mrs. Isabelle Rutschky, York, Pa. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Michael's United Church of Christ near Bridgewater, the Rev. Ross Speicher officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Arendtsville at 3:30 Saturday afternoon with a brief graveside service conducted by Rev. Speicher.
