BIRTH: No town of spelling HUNSCH found in Germany, Luxemburg or The Netherlands. There is a Hunshoven, Germany, FHL file #489,848 which gives a birth 26 Jan. 1729 for Anna Gertru Hartman to Matthias Hartman and Petronella Mentz. However, this would make Anna Gertru 11 years older than her husband. If so, she would have been 36 at marriage and 40 when Pieter was born in 1769. Perhaps this is reason this family had only two children.

!UPDATE: 1 May 2000; Hesse mailing list moderator suggests that Hunzel which is 13 miles SW of Limburg a/d Lahn would be pronouncd Hunsch in the local dialect. June, 2000 -Research done by Hans Bontenbal in Hunzel finds it never was pronounced Hunsch.

!MARRIAGE: Gorinchem public records FHL file #117,829, part 14. Cannot locate Hunsch in Netherlands or Germany.
