MARRIED: ANNA M. DONNAN, Greigsville, NY TO: Hugh Canby Hackney, La Harpe, Kansas There were four children born to them: Margarite, Kenneth,Hester and William. Anna, fourth child of Mary, born April 12 1863 atGreigsville, NY a bright child, did nicely in school through the highschool, then went to Geneseo Normal. She joined the Covenanter Church atYork when young and after her parents' death she lived a few years withJohn Milroy Donnan. When on a visit to her brother William in Kansas shemet Hugh Canby Hackney a produce dealer in La Harpe, Kan. and they agreedthat the East should unite with the West, so they get married and livedin La Harpe. Hugh died several years ago and interment was in the familyplot there. Anna is still living there with her two daughters and areattendants of the Presbyterian Church. (I note Hugh died January 5, 1923)
