The choir, augmented for the occasion and under the direction of Prof. Louis N. Gullbault, the organist, sang the Gregorian chant, solos being sustained by Miss Mary Irwin and Prof. Frederick C Bond. There were a profusion of beautiful floral offerings and many spiritual bouquets to testify the high esteem in which the deceased was held. The casket was borne by the following bearers: Messrs. John J Laffey, William Cutress, William Grasbergar, Reynold Ilg, John Bailey and Karl Heidenrich. Burial was in the family lot in St. Patrick's cemetery, where the committal prayers were read at the grave by Rev. Fr. O'Brien. Funeral arrangements were in charge of Undertakers O'Connell & Fay."
