OBITUARY -- Mrs. Ann Bussard, age 78 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Will Kammerer at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday night. She had been ill for several months with high blood pressure and complications.
The funeral for Mrs. Bussard was held from the Reformed church at 2:30 Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. F.F. Stauffer, who had been a life-long friend. The music was furnished by Mrs. Albert Addy, Mrs. Rudy Costello, Frank Sparks and Dr. S.A. Allen, and Mrs. John Oatis. The hymns sung at the funeral were of her own selection.
The pall bearers were Sim Utterback, Frank Hayes, F.E. Leech, Robert Trenholm, Charles Abbott and John Oatis. Interment took place at the Imogene cemtery where her husband and four children are buried.
Mrs. Ann Bussard, nee Allshouse, was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, March 28, l844 and came to Jackson county, Iowa, when six years old. She was confirmed into the Reformed church in Zwingle, Iowa, in 1860 and was married to Daniel Bussard, November 26, l863. They moved to Imogene 47 years ago and became a charter member of the St. Paul Reformed church here at its organization, of which she remained a loyal and active member until her death.
She is survived by four children who are, Mrs. Will Kammerer and Reuben Bussard of Imogene, Mrs, Pennebaker of Missouri and Dan Bussard of Shenandoah and 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
