Facts and Events
Ann Wareham (or Wharam) was baptised on 26th December 1800 at Adderbury in Oxfordshire, daughter of Richard and Sarah Wareham.
On 4th October 1825, aged 24, Ann married Thomas Goodman at Stony Stratford in Buckinghamshire, over twenty miles east of Adderbury. After their marriage they moved to the village of Sherington in Buckinghamshire, where they had nine children between 1826 and 1844. Sadly six of their nine children died under the age of five, with four of them dying when under one year old. Only three sons would survive Ann.
The 1841 census finds Ann, Thomas and the four children they had at that point living on Turnpike Road in Sherington. Thomas was working as a publican, and they had a servant living with them.
Ann died in 1844, either giving birth to her youngest son or shortly afterwards; his birth and death and her death were all registered in the same quarter. She was 43 years old. She was buried at Sherington on 15th August 1844. Thomas survived her by just under a year.

This baptism has been linked to the Ann Wareham or Wharam who married Thomas Goodman on the basis that it is around the time implied by the age given when she died, the 1841 census indicates she was born outside Buckinghamshire, and after her death her son Henry went to live in Adderbury at the time of the 1851 census, whilst her son Daniel also appears at Adderbury in 1848, when he witnessed the marriage of Mary Ann Wharam, who appears to have been the daughter of this Ann's sister Mary. Also, when Ann married one of the witnesses to the marriage was a Sarah Wharam, who could have been either her mother or younger sister.
