Facts and Events
Name[1] Ann _____

Marriage Abt 1616 Englandto Richard Vore
Death[2] 7 Dec 1683 Windsor, Hartford, Connecticut

As yet, Ann's maiden name is unknown.

It is probably her daughter Lydia's birth that is recorded in Crewkerne, Somersetshire in 1633. Ann had given birth to at least one other child, probably somewhere in the neighborhood of Crewkerne. She, her husband and daughters came to New England around 1634, settling first in Dorchester and then moving on to Windsor, where she would spend the remainder of her life. She had two additional daughters, the youngest born in Windsor around 1640. Her oldest daughter Mary married in Windsor in 1646 and began raising her own family there. Three years later, her daughter Lydia also married in Windsor where she would also live the rest of her life. Although her daughter Sarah was married in Windsor, she moved to Springfield following her 1653 marriage. Sarah married a man whose brother, Hugh Parsons, and wife Mary were accused of witchcraft in the 1651 death of their infant son, who probably died from croup. Hugh was released but Mary was sent to Boston for trial and condemned to death. She died in prison. Ann's youngest daughter Abigail was married in Windsor in 1662. Her four daughters all became mothers of large families, ranging from Lydia's seven children to Mary's eleven and all 35 of Ann's grandchildren were born before her death. Three of her daughters remained in Windsor during the early years of their married life, so Ann was surrounded by her children and grandchildren as she aged. Ann lost two of her daughters during King Phillip's War, but both probably died of complications of childbirth, rather than as victims of the war. Ann predeceased her daughters Lydia and Abigail. Her husband of almost 60 years died the summer of 1683 and she followed him in death three months later.S1
