Ann Spire was baptised on 27th December 1712 at Ashton under Hill, which was then in Gloucestershire. She was the daughter of Ann Spire, formerly Dyer, and her husband Thomas Spire, a weaver. Sadly baby Ann died just a couple of weeks after her baptism, being buried at Ashton under Hill on 14th January 1713.
