GILLUM Mrs. Anne Shearer Gillum, 74, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS after a brief illness. Mrs. Gillum was born on December 29, 1935 in Poplar Grove, Pennsylvania to Howard and Ginny Laughner Shearer. She was living in Columbus at her death, but had made her residence in several locations over the past several years including; Pennsylvania, Meridian, MS and Jacksonville, FL. She was a Baptist and enjoyed Listening to the music of Tennessee Ernie Ford but enjoyed many different singers. Anne enjoyed Golf and Bowling, but one of her favorite things to do was the many Road trips with her husband, which took them through 49 States. Memorial services are 10 AM Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Marc Howard officiating. The Family will receive friends from 9:00 am until service time on Friday. Survivors include her husband of 36 years; Paul Gillum of Columbus, MS one daughter; Caroline Witmer of Seattle, Washington, 3 sons; David Skergan (Deb) of Perrysburg, Ohio and Daniel Skergan of South port, N.C., 6 grandchildren; Danielle Skergan, Christie Skergan, Sean Skergan, Ryan Skergan, Danielle Mercer and Nikki Skergan and her Uncle; Richard Shearer of West Virginia.
