Ann Eliza Morris Thomasson Wilson

Ann Eliza Morris, the daughter of Winifred Harbour and James Morris, was born in 1837 in Fayette County, Kentucky.

On September 2, 1850 Ann E. Morris, a 13 year old daughter of James and Winfred, is enumerated with her parents and six siblings, in the US Census of District 2, Scott County, Kentucky. Each of the family members is recorded as being born in Kentucky. Her parents are 60 and 54 respectively. Her father is a farmer and two older brothers are listed as laborers.

Ann Eliza died November 7, 1919 in County Infirmary, Columbia Township, Boone County, Missouri. She was buried November 10, 1919 in New Salem Cemetery, Boone County. A memorial page and a photo of her cemetery is located on the Find-A-Grave website[1]. No Cemetery marker has been located to date.

Ann Eliza Thomasson moves to Missouri

The late HEDGER Family researcher, Pat Smith, Mabelton, Oregon noted in Hedger Binder C-284,286,287, “When her husband died at home at Frankfort, he left Ann with 5 children, the oldest just 10 and the youngest only a few months old. Ann raised her family and when her oldest son migrated to Missouri they went with him and settled in Boone County.”

THOMASON Family researcher, Carol Jacobson, records that they walked from Frankfort, KY to Platte, MO in 1882. Based on a photograph of oldest son Joel Price Thomasson, he is thought to be near Plattsburg, Clinton County, Missouri between 1885 and 1895.

Ann Eliza Thomasson and family moved to Missouri. No record of her has been found in checks of the 1880 US Census.

Ann Eliza Morris Thomason and O. P. Wilson Marriage

Ann Eliza Morris Thomasson married O.P. Wilson. They are believed to have had four children: Bob, John, Cal, and Mattie Wilson. It is not known if this marriage was prior to the move to Missouri or after.

Ann Eliza died 7 November 1919 in County Infirmary, Columbia Township, Boone County, Missouri. She was buried 10 November 1919 in New Salem Cemetery, Boone County. A memorial page and a photo of her is located on the Find-A-Grave website[2]. Volunteers have tried to find a cemetery marker, but none have been located to date.
