(Research):Ann - The KIDSON ~ RALPH family. Ann, 1822-1851 Ann, the first of Kemp and Ann's children to be born in South Africa, was born 3 Mar 1822 at Bailie's Location, Lower Albany. On 3 July 1845, Ann was 23 years of age when she married Joseph Park KIDSON at Tarkas Post where Kemp and Ann ran a Trading Post. Joseph, a wagon maker of King William's Town, was born in Bathurst, January 1822. Joseph's parents were William and Ann Maria, who came out as members of Wilson's Party of 1820 Settler and were located at Bathurst. Ann died on 22 May 1851 at Smith Street, King William's Town, aged 29 years. Ann and Joseph had three children: 1. Mary Maria Walker KIDSON 2. William KIDSON 3. Sarah Emma KIDSON William and Sarah Emma died in 1851. After the death of Ann, Joseph married Mary B. TIMM on 16 May 1852. Joseph and Mary had nine children, of whom four died in infancy.
