Facts and Events
It is assumed that Joseph Clixby had only one wife, named Ann, in spite of the fact that her birth place is recorded as Derbyshire in the 1851 census, and as Ireland in later censuses. She was apparently living in Derbyshire prior to her marriage (in the household of an attorney in 1841, along with 2 others whose ages are given as 20, which might be why her age is incorrect in that census). Only one marriage record can be found for Joseph Clixby in the civil registration index, and there is no evidence of the death, divorce or remarriage of his first wife if he had more than one wife.

The "6" in her age is very subtle, but can be seen a bit more clearly in the "male" column where it was originally mistakenly written.
