!COURT; land records of Alleghany County, MD. At the request of Amos McLish this deed was recorded 10 Jan 1861. This deed was made 22 Oct 1860. Alexander Beall and Anna Marie Beall, his wife of Allegany County, MD in consideration for the sum of $1400 the said Alexander and Anna Marie his wife do grant unto Amos McClish of the said county and state all that part of a tract or parcel of land called "Chapman's Searches" situate and lying in Allegany County aforesaid and contained within the following metes and bounds courses and distances to wit: 140 acres more or less it being the same piece of land or parcel conveyed to Jesse Chapman by Colemore Chapman by deed bearing the date 21 Jun 1852 and recorded in Liber NM #8 folio 702 one of the same records of said Alleghany County and which said descended to Anna Marie K. Beall as the only child and heir at law of the said Jesse Chapman now deceased.
