    Anita Ruth Markham, 76, Chanute, KS, died Friday, August 3, 2007 at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

    Anita was born on June 26, 1931 in rural Woodson County, west of Yates Center, Kansas, the daughter of Elmer Earl and Carrie Ruth (Goodale) Crumrine. She graduated from Yates Center High School.

    She was a member of the First Church of God.

    Anita was united in marriage to Raymond L. Markham on Jan, 14, 1950 at the First Church of God in Chanute, Kansas. He preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 2005.

    She is survived by a daughter, Carrie Cooper and her husband, Dennis, Chanute, KS; a son, Alan Markham, Chanute, KS; two grandchildren, Michael Cooper and Mitchell Cooper; and a brother, Victor Crumrine and his wife, Kay, of Odessa, TX.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Elmer "Bud" Crumrine.

    Burial will be August 8, 2007, in Buffalo Cemetery, Buffalo, Kansas.
