    1 ANDREW, Mr., Kittery, wit. in Portsm. with Sarah Abbott (5) in 1662, against her in Feb. 1663-4, when he was ± 50. A wit. for Harvey (14) in 1663, 1670, the first time with Thomas Abbott. In Kit. he wit. a Spencer fam. deed in 1662 and had a gr. in 1665, either 50 a. beneath Quamphegan, if to be found, or 70 a. above Salmon Falls. Part of this he sold to Zachariah Nock jr., and Searle and Neale dese. sold more to Hamilton and Sullivan. An educated man, and often a wit. or appraiser to 1687. Surety for Francis Morgan 1667. Gr.j. 1667 (foreman); clerk of the writs 1668. In 1670 an accountant at the Shoals for Richard Endle (his testim. in 1671, ± 50). Adm. of John Green’s est. in 1681-2, with (4) as bondsm. Lists 298, 288, 30. He d. 25 Nov. 1690; adm. 10 Dec. to Andrew Neale as gdn. of James Neale. Inv., £38, incl. a loom, an ox in John Neale’s hands, a cow, calf, chest, writing and books, all with Benoni Hodsdon; his shop built at the garrison; debts by book £9. Wife unseen. Ch. appear: John. Joan, m. John Neale (6). Andrew (the fa. was Senr. 1675, 1676, 1680). The younger man is more likely the A. S. (no prefix of respect) abs. from Ch. in 1676,1679, cert. the one bound to good behav. in 1678 for turbulent and seditious practices toward authority. In 1701 A. S. liv. in Mr. Fryer’s ho. in Prov. of Maine which in 1702 was in poss. of Mr. Robert Elliot; in 1702 Wm. Hart (10) liv. with A. S. at Gerrish Isl. Poss. Jemima of Kit., in ct. on bast, charges 1709, 1715, and Elizabeth, a Kit. wit. in 1720 (Y. D. 12: 20), connect with him.
