"Andrew James Rumgay, 72, Meyersdale, died Thursday, January 6. He was born June 12, 1882, in McIntyre, Pa., a son of William G. and Rachel (Lamont) Rumgay, both of Scotland. He is survived by his wife Maude M. Foy Rumgay, and these children: James M., Andrew J., Eleanor M. and Marguerite E., all of Meyersdale and Parker T., Harrisburg; also three grandchildren Brenda, Meyersdale and Bill and Teresa Rumgay, Santurce P. R., childen of William A. Rumgay, deceased and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Rumgay was a railroad engineer in the employ of the B. & O., for 47 years. He retired about four years ago. He is the last member of his family. He was a charter member of the Meyersdale Moose Club; Order of Locomotive Engineers, and SS Philip and James Catholic Church. Friends were received at the Rumgay home, Center Street, and services were conducted at 10 a.m., Monday, in SS Philip and James Catholic Church by the Rev. Father Raymond Cupples. Interment in the church cemetery under the direction of Price Funeral Home. Out of town relatives and friends who called to pay their respects included: Mrs. Margaret L. Mulvehill, Ronald Lamont, Ebensburg; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Horner, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bender and children, Arthur E. Lakin and son Ernest, Johnstown; Charles Steinkirchner, Tom Carey, Somerset; Frank Steinkirchner, Listie; Alva Tressler and son Robert, Rockwood; Mrs. Mae Lowery, Wilbur Lichliter, William A. Lowry, Salisbury; Mr. and Mrs. John Lichva and daughter Kay Ann, Berlin; William Currie, Garrett; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sheehe, Cumberland, Md., Col George L. Foy, Hartford, Conn."
