On 21 February 1788 John Poe's son Andrew was baptized. The diary of traveling Minister Christian Streit for February 1788 indicated: "17th. Preached in the morning in Winchester . . . 21st. Baptized John and Mary Poh's child Andrew, born October 21, 1787. Sponsor, Andrew Baker." Minister Christian Streit was a traveling Lutheran minister who sometimes visited Frederick County and Winchester, Virginia. It is unknown if the Mary in this baptism record was the same person as "Anna Margaret" who was listed as the mother in the 1785 baptism record of John Poe's son John.12
