    [Note: the reference to Mr. Savage is to 3:314 where Andrew is listed as a son of William without birth or death date. Further note: the death date is not found in the Hingham records (one would expect to find it on p. 99 or one of the nearby pages), but it is found in the Hobart Journal (NEHGR, Vol. 121, p. 283) under August 1695: 18 "Andrew Oarcuts child died". Thus the editors of the History of Hingham appear to been confused and applied this to the wrong person.]

    "Andrew 2 Orcutt, son of William1 Orcutt of Marshfield, Scituate and Bridgewater, was baptized at Scituate (now Norwell) 24 Mar. 1667; mentioned in his father's will in 1694 [sic, there was no will, he was mentioned in an agreement of heirs]. He married, near 1692 [note: first child shown as born 21 Jul 1693], Frances Ward, the mother of his eight children."
