Bogacik came to the USA in October 1905 and resided in Abrams most of his life. Two birth dates. SS death index has Sept 7 1890, I had Sept 7 1889, Social Security list birth date as March 15, 1890. Grave stone list birth as Sep 7, 1890. The application list his father as John Machurick and his mother as Agnes maiden name unknown (however, It is believe to be Anges Kalakaj. . Andrew was employed by the Milwaukee Road Railroad as a foreman in Channing, Mich. Andrew list his occupation as a tavern owner, bartender. The Tavern was on a street that housed a grocery store, tavern, church and gas station. Andrew and his wife Mary ran the Abrams Hotel and Tavern in Abrams, WI for 35 years (1920 - 1955) until Stephen's son Jim bought it in 1955. By then it was only a bar with a Friday night Perch fish fry. The shoe repair that Andrew's brother John had worked his part of the business. This is also where the family lived.     Andrew J. Machurick Sr. Andrew J Machurick Sr., 92, Abrams, died Wednesday April 7, 1982 at Community' Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. He was born Sept. 7, 1889 in Austria; came to this country in 1905, and had resided in Abrams most of his life. Mr. Machurick married Mary Kurutz on May 10, 1920, at St. Louis Church, Abrams. ,He operated a tavern in Abrams for 35 years. At one time, Mr. Machurick was employed by the Milwaukee Road Railroad as a foreman in Channing, Mich. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I and a 50 year member of the American Legion Post 523, Abrams Survivors are his wife; two sons and daughters-inlaw, Andrew Jr. and Shirley, Green Bay; Michael and Delores, Little Chute; two daughters and son-in-law, Mrs. Otto (Margaret) Brukardt, De Pere, and Mrs. Donald (Mary) McDermid, Abrams; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Andy, Milwaukee. Three brothers preceded him in death. Friends may call at the, Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, from 4 to 9 pm. Saturday. Wake service 8:45 p.m. Saturday. There will be no visitation Sunday or Monday morning. Funeral 10 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Church, Abrams, the Rev. James Hablewitz officiating. Burial in St. John Cantius Cemetery, Sobieski, with graveside military rites by Post 523, Abrams.
