I have an Andrew K. Lawson born in Rockbridge Co., VA about 1795, son of Isaac Lawson and Agnes "Nancy" [surname unknown]. Andrew married Rebecca Dale on 09 Jan 1817 Rockbridge Co., VA by minister A. B. Davidson.
We believe that Rebecca died young with no children.
We know that Andrew left Rockbridge and possibly went to Mason Co., VA [now West VA]. There are census reports that place an Andrew Lawson and family, with a son Mason, and living next door to David Lawson [Isaac also had a son David].
There are also Andrew Lawson and Mason Lawson in later census reports in IN. BUT we do not know if this Andrew is the same person.
Andrew may have also gone to Shelby Co., KY as some of the families of Rockbridge settled there as early as 1798. There are later court cases in Rockbridge linking the families with Shelby Co., KY.
Rebecca was the daughter of Samuel Dale and Isabella Lawson and the granddaughter of Robert Lawson Sr. and possibly the granddaughter of Alexander "John" Dale and Isabella Gilmore, per Dale and Lawson research.
