JORGENSEN, naturalised citizen, born at Korshavn, Denmark, on December 19, 1894; son of Rasmus Jorgensen, born in Denmark and residing at Korshavn, Denmark; emigrated to the United States, sailing from Copenhagen on or about Nov 6, 1913; resident of the United States uninterruptedly from 1913 to 1919 at Lewistown, New York; naturalised by the Supreme Court at Lockport, Niagara, New York on June 24, 1919; permanent resident of Lewiston; licensed pilot; desiring to travel to Denmark to see parents, also Norway, England and Sweden, leaving from New York, date unknown. Aged 24 years, 5 feet 9 inches tall, low forehead, blue eyes, straight nose, small mouth, round chin, light hair, fair complexion, round face, tattoo marks on each arm. Endorsed by M. W. RASMUSSEN, a native of the U.S., residing at Buffalo, New York, known Andrew for 4 years. Dated 15 Dec, 1919, at Buffalo, Erie, New York. Includes photograph.

1970 - Newspaper Clipping, obituary: Youngstown - Andrew R. Jorgensen, 75, Lake Road here, died Monday (Aug 10, 1970) at Ransomville General Hospital where he had been a patient for five days and in ill health for several years. Mr Jorgensen was sales manager for the Simon Oil Co., Niagara Falls, for 30 years and for the Hill-Shardon Oil Co., Lockport for four years. Born Dec 19, 1894, in Faaberg, Denmark, he had resided in this area for 18 years and previously resided in Niagara Falls. He was former president of the 3F Club, Lewiston, and a former member of the Moose Lodge in Niagara Falls. Survivors include his widow, Beatrice Nickerson Jorgensen; three daughters, Mrs Charles (Dorothy) Battaglia, Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs James (Marjorie) Gerg and Mrs Robert (Betty) Deubler, both of this village; a son, Andrew Jorgensen Jr, Oklamoma City; a sister and three brothers, all of Denmark, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11am at the Hardison Funeral Home, Ransomville, by the Rev Elvin J. Riemer of St John's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Oakland Rural Cemetery.
