The Obituary of Mr. Andrew Horace Johnson
Mr. Andrew Horace Johnson was born October 19, 1872; departed this life April 25, 1960. He was 87 years, 6 months, and 6 days old. He was united in matrimony to Miss Sarah Elizabeth Allen, who passed away in 1954. To them was born five children, two boys and three girls.
He leaves to mourn his passing three daughters; Mrs. Flossie Scott, Mrs. Ora Miller, Mrs. Lellon Austin; two brothers, Mr. Snowden Johnson, Mr. Bert Johnson; two sisters, Mrs. Etta Johnson and Mrs. Nora Hill; also four grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
He was a member of the Maple Springs Presbyterian Church and very active in his early years until his health failed. Mr. Andy was a man that loved the Lord and loved to talk to Christian people.
His passing brings sorrow, not only to his family, but many friends that have known him in the past years of his life. A man that will be missed in the community in which he lived. He was bedfast the past 6 years.
