Andrew Carothes born March 10, 1739 at Dunnnnefrrieshire, Scotland died in North Carolina in June 25, 1826 in North Carolina. His wie Margaet Neely died 1779 (s/b 1797). They married in 1765.He foght a Kings Mountain under Colonel Sevier and served throughout the war. He was seeverly wounded at one time. He ties into the Bain family of Cabarrus County, North Carolina. Shirley W. Bain
