Andrew Carothes born March 10, 1739 at Dunnnnefrrieshire, Scotland died in North Carolina in June 25, 1826 in North Carolina. His wie Margaet Neely died 1779 (s/b 1797). They married in 1765.He foght a Kings Mountain under Colonel Sevier and served throughout the war. He was seeverly wounded at one time.
