BYNUM, ANDREW J Co B Enlisted at age 20 at Murphee's Crossroads, BlountCo, AL 2/4/1862. POW at Missionary Ridge 11/23/1863. Entered Rock Island Prison 12/9/1863. Took oath of allegiance to US Government at Rock Island and enlisted in US Army for frontier service 10/6/1864.

The reference is "Those Gallant Men of the 28th Alabama Confederate Infantry Regiment" by Walker and Curren.
