↑ Although his baptism has not been found, he was very likely a child of Thomas Brees and Ann Lloyd. Edward Thomas, who may have been his step father, was a witness at his wedding, as he was at the wedding of Ann Brees, another child of Thomas Brees and Ann Lloyd. As well, a Trefeglwys index of examinations for settlement certificates lists "Thomas Brees, Anne his wife and their children - Anne, Andrew, Mary, and Thomas." (1 Sept 1757)
