"My ancestors Peder Hansen "Skappel" (1687-1755) and his wife Gunhild Larsdatter (1691-1755) owned Skappel farm. It was passed on to their daughter Margrete (1731 -1797) and her husband Anders Nilsen (Nielsen) 1710-1797. Anders Nilsen apparently owned Bierke/Bjerke farm, but they sold both Skappel and Bierke farms to buy the Hvalstad farm. These farms are all in Veldre Parish, Ringsaker District, Hedmark, Norway. I would like to know more about the Skappel farm and the others listed. I would also like to hear from anyone with information regarding these farms and the people who owned them My "Walstad" family settled briefly in WI before coming to the Douglas Cty area in MN.
