ANANIAS BARKER, SENIOR was born about 1766 in Fredrick County, Maryland. He later moved to Nelson County, Kentucky about 1796. He later moved to Logan County, Kentucky about 1800.

Ananias married LEATHEA WOOD, the daughter of LASHLE LEVI WOOD and MARY MERCER LUCAS, about 1781 in Maryland.

    To Lethia, wife, all property, real and personal, for her lifetime. After death or before if she desires, all to be sold and each of daughters to receive as much in value as has been given sons. Legacy to granddaughter will be taken out before equal division among all children. Daughters are Polly Smith, Nancy Sparrow, Delilah Mosely, Granddaughter, Peggy Barker, is to receive a legacy to be decided by wife, Lethia Henson. Cornelius, and Perry Barker are sons who have already received their portions.
