"Died at Mt. Jury, her residence in Nelson County on Friday the 28th April, Mrs. Amey Warwick, aged 100 years and 1 month. It is believed by the writer that she conscientiously discharged all her duties of wife, mother, mistress and christian. To the last, she was in full possession of her mental faculties, and all the consolations of faith in Christ were her's. As her life was a beautiful exemplification of the religion of the meek and lowly Jesus, so her death was calm and peaceful; and her last words were, "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me."
