But correspondance with Lola J. Barrett of the Streeter Family Association yeilded the following email message on 29 Oct 2000: "I notice you listed Amos death as probably being in Chesterfield, NH. I believe he probably died in Cumberland R.I. He left Chesterfield for New York, where he is found on the Census in 1800 and then returned to Cumberland where he is found on the Census of 1810, it appears his wife was with him in New York and Cumberland. His son Amos Jr. moved after 1815 to upstate New York where his brothers James, Nehemiah and Reuben were also living. Lola Barrett Streeter Family Association
