Mr. Rogers has many relatives and friends residing in Mercer county, and to them it will be a source of pleasure to know that the deceased was much beloved by all who knew him in his Western home, and that his demise is deeply regretted by all who knew him. Mr. Rogers was a public-spirited and patriotic man. In politics he was formerly an Old Line Whig, and upon the birth of the Republican party he became one of its first adherents. [NIL for obit.
