27 May 1798: "Whereas it would be inconvenient for me to administer upon the Estate of my late Husband, Amos Lawrance, late of Groton in said County, Gentleman, deceased" relinquishes her right to do so and requests her oldest son Amos Lawrance be appointed. Bond of Amos Lawrence Husbandman of Groton given 28 May 1798.
29 May 1798: Inventory of ye estate of Lieut Amos Lauranc[e] late groton: $2094.14 by Joseph Allen, Joseph Sawtell, Amos Davis.
7 Apr 1800: Account of Amos Lawrance administrator to the Estate of Amos Lawrance late of Groton, allowed.
2 Apr 1801: Distribution of estate: to Betty, widow of said Deceased her thirds. Other two thirds "cannot be divided without prejudice to or spoiling the whole", assigned to Amos, eldest son, he paying the others.
20 Oct 1802: Second account of administrator allowed. Judge's decree settling remaining two thirds on Amos Lawrence, eldest son, he paying his brother Asa & sister Betsey.
