    Mr Amos Batty died at his residence, East Orange, yesterday, as the result of a malignant growth on the cheek. Deceased, who was 65 years of age, was a native of England, and came to the state when 16 years old. Between 30 and 40 years ago he married and settled in Orange. Some years ago he left for Sydney, but returned within the past 12 months. He leaves a widow and grown-up family to mourn their loss. His remains will be interred in the C. E. Cemetery this morning, the funeral leaving his late residence at 11.30.
