    Mrs. Amelia Olmstead Dies; Funeral Today. CANAJOHARIE - Mrs. Amelia S. Olmstead, 87, widow of Jeremiah Olmstead, died early Monday morning at the home of her son-in-law and her daughter , Mr. and Mrs. Charles Darrow, near Sprakers. Born in the town of Charleston Dec. 13, 1855, daughter of the late David and Sophia Montayne Veedar, she had lived in this immediate vicinity for 65 years. She was a member of Rural Grove Christian church. Besides her daughter, she leaves a son, Fred Olmstead; another daughter, Mrs. Edgar Moyer; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. A prayer service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Darrow and at 2 o'clock the funeral will be held at Currytown Reformed church, with Rev. James Hanna, pastor, officiating. The body will be placed in a vault at Canajoharie Falls cemetery for burial there in the spring.
