"Mrs. Amanda Harding, widow of Peter Harding, died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B.F. Spicer, in Bucyrus, where she went in November to visit, after a short illness with Bright's disease. The deceased was born in Ellsworth April 26, 1833 and in consequence was in the 74th year of her age. Immediately after her marriage to Peter Harding Oct. 19, 1854, she came to Canfield and had ever since resided on the farm one mile north of the village. Mr. Harding died in November 1893. Mrs. Harding had all her life enjoyed excellent health, never having been sick in bed until her last illness. She leaves four children – Mrs. J.A. Ebert of North Jackson, Wm G., of Canfield, Mrs. B.F. Spicer of Bucyrus and Frank of Cleveland. The remains arrived in Canfield Tuesday evening and were taken to the old home. Funeral services in Zion Reformed church, of which the deceased was a member, held Thursday at 12 o'clock, were conducted by Rev. John C. Shaaf. Interment in the cemetery nearby."
