Alvin P. Loughner Sr., 82, of Jeannette, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023, at his residence. He was born May 6, 1941, in Jeannette, a son of the late Joseph and Sarah Loughner. Alvin was employed by the former General Tire Co., in Jeannette, the Pennsylvania Concrete Vault Co. of Greensburg, and retired 20 years ago from the Swank Construction Co. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church Jeannette, the National Rifle Association and the Teamsters Local No. 341. Alvin enjoyed hunting, gardening and sitting on his porch. In addition to his parents, Alvin was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Ann Suchora Loughner; a son, Alvin P. Loughner Jr.; and numerous siblings. He is survived by his wife, Donna Garland Loughner; his children, Annamarie Brown and husband, Mark, of North Carolina, Joseph Loughner and wife, Carla, of Greensburg, Michael Loughner and wife, Melanie, of Vandergrift, Jenny O'Dille, of Allison Park, and Barbara Rhynehardt, of Mississippi; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Bertha Kerns, of Greensburg; two stepdaughters; two stepsons; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
