Mrs. Alta Naomi Kohler, 72, of 60 Carroll Court, 12th Street, Carrollton died Wednesday, October 23, in Timken Mercy Medical Center at Canton after a long illness. Born July 8, 1919, at Dillonvale, she was a daughter of the late John and Mahala (Wade) Yator. She had lived in the Kilgore area most of her life. She was a member of the Church of God in Amsterdam. She was a retired employee of Scio Pottery Company. On August 1, 1939, she married Charles Kohler, who died February 8, 1977.
Surviving are a sister, Rhea Yator of Carrollton and a brother, Francis Yator of Hyattsville, Maryland. A brother and a sister are deceased. Services were held Monday in Allmon-Dugger Funeral Home at Carrollton with Rev. Richard Kantz officiating. Burial was in Kilgore Cemetery.
