Alta Flora Crumrine, 94, of the George Washington Apartments, Washington, formerly of Beallsville, died Saturday, March 20, 1993, in the Presbyterian Medical Center.
Born November 19, 1898, in Morris Township, Washington County, she was a daughter of John B. and Flora Cooper Andres.
She attended Craft Grade School and graduated from Morris Township High School in 1918.
She was a graduate of California Normal School, which is now California University of Pennsylvania, and received a bachelor-of-arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
She taught school in Beallsville, West Alexander and Prosperity.
A member of Beallsville United Methodist Church, she was a member of the administrative board, an officer in the Womens society of Christian Service, a teacher and superintendent for many years of the Sunday School and was treasurer of the church for many years.
On June 2, 1929, she married Earl W. Crumrine, who died January 26, 1957.
Surviving are a niece, Wilma Filby; and three nephews, Gaylord Andrew, Floyd Dillie and Eugene Dillie.
Deceased are three brothers, Oliver W., J. Elmer and Harry C. Andrew; a sister, Inez M. Dillie; two nephews; and four nieces.
