Daily Times-News, The Thursday, March 31, 1966 Alson T. Davis, 75, of Saxapahaw died at his home yesterday afternoon at o'clock following several years of failing health and four weeks of critical illness. Mr. DAVIS was a native of Orange County, son of the late David E Davis and Mrs.. Belle Partin DAVIS. He was first married to Mrs.. Lenora Edwards DAVIS who died Aug. 9, 1951, and later was married to Mrs.. GEORGIA GRAVES DAVIS of Saxapahaw, who survives. Mr. DAVIS was a retired master mechanic of Sellers Manufacturing Company and a member of Moore's Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to h i s wife include three daughters, Mrs.. Lee Zachary of AltaVista, Va., Mrs.. C. S Lingerfelt of Rt. 1, Snow Camp, and Mrs.. J W, Miller Jr.. of Burlington; two sons, Armon F. DAVIS of Asheboro and Ralph G. Davis of High Point; one step- daughter, Mrs.. John Grace of Baltimore, Md.; three half- brothers, R. A. DAVIS of Graham, J. M. Davis of Roanoke. Va and R M DAVIS of Rt. 2, Graham; sister, Mrs.. P L. Smith of Roanoke, Va.; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Final rites will be held at Moore's Chapel Baptist Church tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. The Rev. Eugene A?, pastor, will conduct the service. Burial will be m the church cemetery The body was taken to the home this afternoon to remain until taken to the church to he in state 30 minutes prior to the service tomorrow |
