Alonzo G. Brown, son of Orrin and Hannah Brown, was born in Berlin, N. Y., July 17, 1833, and died in Farina, Ill., June 6, 1921, aged 87 years, 10 months and 19 days.
Mr. Brown came with his parents to Farina in 1865, where he has since made his home.
On December 25, 1872, he was married to Lizzie Smith Coon, with whom he lived for about sixteen years, when she passed away. Since the death of his wife, he lived for a while with a Mrs. Russell and his sister Mrs. Satterly, but for about fourteen years he has made his home with his sister Mrs. M. D. Hewitt, who has tenderly and patiently cared for him, ministering to his wants; which because of his great affliction for the last few months have been many.
A large concourse of neighbors and friends gathered Monday at 2 p.m. to pay their last respects and interment was made in the village cemetery. J. T. D.
