               Information is from her obiturary and corrected from other sources.

Myra Jane was born in Roane County, Tennessee, January 14, 1831, and died in Ryan, Oklahoma, May 6,1925. She was married to George B. Kennedy in Knox County, Tennessee on February 26, 1848. To this union thirteen children were born, ten sons and three daughters. She moved to Fannin County, Texas before the Civil War but after a few years residence there, returned to Tennessee, moving back again to Texas in 1879. She was converted when she was ten years old and when she was fourteen joined the Methodist Church and was true to her faith until death. She lived to the age of 94 years, three months and twenty-one days. She was left a widow in 1893. She was survived by seven sons and three daughters. She is interned in the Ryan, Jefferson Co., Oklahoma Cemetery. She was the daughter of Jeptha Browder and Nancy Bowman.

She was a Browder from her obituary, Ryan paper with information given by her son J. R. "James" Kennedy.

               She was Almira Browder from her marriage license obtained from Knox County Archives.

She was born in Roane County, the area occupied by her parents Jeptha Browder and Nancy Bowman who were married about 1830. She was married to George B. Kennedy in Knox County, TN in 1848 by marriage banns and license from Knox County Archives as Almira Browder. She is listed in the Knox County census tape 886, page 133 on September 23, 1850 as Emira, wife of George B. Kennedy with a son George B. Kennedy,Jr.

               She had a brother D. E. Browder who attended her furneal from Memphis, TX at the time of her death.

The 1910 census of Memphis, Hall County, TX tape 1558, page 210 lists a Darius Browder living with his son-in-law and daughter.

               The 1850 Knox census tape 886, page 224 lists Jeptha Browder and wife Nancy living with six children, one a Darius Browder, age eleven.
               A Darius Browder, abt 1802 - abt 1848, brother of Jeptha Browder and son of John Browder, will dated second day of May, 1845 the fifth Item reads as follows:
            To my Nephew Darius Browder, son of Jeptha Browder, I give and bequeath the sum of three hundred dollars, to be paid to him when he arrives at the age of twenty five years.
