    Mrs. Almeda Frakes, wife of O. F. Frakes died September 10, 1959 at Mt. Vernon. She was 57 years of age.

    Mrs. Frakes had been ill for the past year and had had surgery at Mayo's Clinic, Rochester, Minn.; but had returned to Mt. Vernon about two months ago, and was believed to be improved.

    Mrs. Frakes had lived in this vicinity for many years and at the time of her death was living near Gobler.

    Funeral services were held at Boone Chapel Church of Christ at Gibson Bayou Sunday afternoon. Bro. W. E. Bingham of Gary, Ind., officiated, assisted by Bro. Walter Lumpkin of Holland. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

    Besides her husband, Mrs. Frakes is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Katherine Kellems, Mrs. Melba Lane, Mrs. Alma Jean Johnson, Mrs. Adell Capps--all of this vicinity and Geraldine Young of Gideon; and four sisters and one brother.
