Alma (Stone) Henry, Breckenridge Mo. passed away after 99 1/2 years on September 29 2011 at her daughter's home in Liberty Mo.She was born on April 1 1912 in Cowgill Mo. (The Gould Farm Community) Caldwell County Missouri the daughter of Craig and Tessie (Diddle) Stone. She was a 1929 graduate of the New York Missouri high school. She married Orda Henry of the Gould Farm Community on January 24 1931 at the home of Laverne Arthur Crum in Liberty Mo. To the union two children were born; Sammie Sue (Henry) Heavner Liberty Mo. and Orda Dean Henry Cowgill Mo.Alma was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Orda Henry on January 1 1998; her son Dean Henry on May 4 2006 her brother Eldred Stone; and parents Craig and Tessie Stone.Alma was an active farmer's wife and a long time member of the Home Extension Service Clubs in Bates County and Caldwell County; the 4H Club; the Hopewell Baptist Church; and many activities in the Grandview and New York communities. She loved her cooking and her flowers and garden. She and her husband spent many years in the dairy cattle business and later a beef cattle farm.Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law Sammie Sue and Bruce Heavner Liberty Mo; daughter-in-law Sondra Henry Cowgill Mo.; five grandchildren Brett and Bryce Heavner Arlington Va; Tammy Gentry Kingston Mo.; Tracy Bowen Hamilton Mo.; and Terry Henry Cowgill Mo.; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.Funeral Service: 2:30 p.m. Sunday Oct. 2 2011 at the Braymer Baptist Church.Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday Oct. 1 at the Bram Funeral Home Hamilton and from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. 1 hour prior to the service at the church.Interment: Evergreen Cemetery Braymer Missouri.Memorials may be made to the Alma Henry memorial fund in care of her daughter.
