Death of Mrs. Alma Tipple.
“Mrs. Alma Tipple, aged 86 years,
died last Thursday at the home of her
son, Edward E. Tipple in Dunkirk, N.
Y. She had been a resident of Wells-
boro and Charleston until the death of
her husband, Albert Tipple, seven
years ago, when she went to live with
her daughter in Port Allegany.
“Mrs. Tipple was a daughter of
John and Deborah Crawford Calkins
and was born in Charleston township,
Nov. 20, 1836. She was married to
Albert Tipple Jan 5, 1853. Three
children survive, Edward E. Tipple, of
Dunkirk, N. Y.; A. L. Tipple, of Der-
wart, Pa, and Mrs. Ella Griffin, of
Port Allegany.
“The remains were brought here
Saturday morning and the funeral
was held at Whitneyville, Rev. E. Se-
balt officiating; internment in the Whit-
neyville cemetery.”
