Alma L. Holtzman, 97, of Frostburg, Md., died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at Sacred Heart Hospital. She had been a resident of St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home. Born Nov. 9, 1906, in Frostburg she was the daughter of the late Edward and Clara Mae (Korns) Bittner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Holtzman; two sons, Edward Holtzman and Howard Holtzman; one daughter, Geraldine Walls; and one grandson, Jeffrey Michael. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ. Surviving are five daughters, Juanita Michael and husband Ralph, Carpendale, W.Va., Erma Thompson and husband Roland, St. Augustine, Fla., Alma Jean Driscoll and husband Walter, Connellsville, Martha Baker and husband Harold, Frostburg, and Virginia Cuthbertson and husband William, Grahamtown; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Gladys Livengood, Frostburg. Interment was in Frostburg Memorial Park.
