    McMinnville resident and Steele, Missouri, native Al F. Frakes, age 94, was born August 14, 1919 and died August 31, 2013 at Raintree Manor following an extended illness.

    A gospel minister in Missouri, South Carolina and Tennessee, retired Insurance Agent and member of Westwoood Church of Christ.

    He was the son of the late Clyde and Lula Stiver Frakes. He was married to Thelma L. Morrison Frakes who preceded him in death December 15, 2011. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Morrison; grandson, Freddie Alan Frakes; three brothers, Albert, Clyde and Pete and sister, Virginia.

    Mr. Frakes is survived by a son, Al (Mary) Frakes, Jr. of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Norma (Bob) Deason of McMinnville; twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren.

    A graveside service and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Gardens of Memory with Bob Deason officiating.

    Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Sunday at High's Funeral Home.
