Family Search suggests different parents for him. NEED SOURCES. Possible father: Joseph Newton, born in Georgia. Possible mother: Catherine Ruth Gowens or Catherine Ruth G. Owens 1853-1920. Maybe this is the same woman as Catherine Ruth Cross?
