In 1831 Allan Scott, jun., trunk and packing box maker, 130 Brunswick St., hse 36 Clyde St. (Glasgow PO Dir). In 1832-33 Allan Scott, jnr merchant and trunk and packing box maker, Glasgow, was apparently bankrupt (London Gazette). In 1853 Allan Scott of J. and A. Scott and Co. (metal merchts, 95 Mitchell St.), hse 21 Woodside Pl. (PO Dir). In 1863 and 1866 Allan Scott (of J. and A. Scott and Co., merchants and packing case makers) and Misses Scott, 9 Queens Terrace (PO Dir). The estates of J. and A. Scott and Co., packing box makers, Glasgow, and of Allan Scott, sole partner, were sequestrated in 1884 (London Gazette).
