    A. D. SMITH DEAD
Alison Dale Smith, well known Frankfort resident, died suddenly at his home on North Kansas avenue this morning at 12:45 o'clock as the result of a heart attack.
His death came as a shock to his family and many friends as he was believed to be in good health and was able to be down town yesterday afternoon. He was 70 years old and had been a resident of this community for the past 35 years. He engaged in farming for many years and was road foreman for the county until a few years ago. He has a host of friends in this part of the state who will regret to learn of his death.
Besides his wife he is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Ronald Heckerson of Chicago, Frances of Topeka, Letha and Lynne of Los Angeles, Calif., Evelyn and Elinor of Chicago; three sons, Randall Smith of Chicago, Howard Smith of Patterson, N.J. and Donald of the home, two sisters Mrs. Wm. Reb of Baldwin City, Kans., and Mrs. Grace Cummings of Topeka; two brothers, B. G. Smith of Onaga and D. R. Smith (wrong) of Topeka, and a number of grandchildren and other relatives who have sympathy of all in their sorrow.
Funeral services will be held at Oelkers Funeral Chapel Wednesday afternoon, February 26th, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. A. M. Reitzel in charge. Burial will be in the Frankfort cemetery.
