    Alice Clare Stillman Lawton was born November 19, 1887, at Albion, Wis., and died at the Leila Hospital, in Battle Creek, Mich., from injuries suffered in a traffic accident.
    She spent her early life and received her education in Albion. She was married to Giles Frank Lawton September 24, 1908, and they moved to Battle Creek in 1909. For thirty years she has been employed by the Battle Creek Food Company as production manager, factory cost account, and held other important offices.
    She gave her life to the Lord in early childhood and was an active and valued member of the Battle Creek Seventh Day Baptist Church.
    She is survived by her husband, her mother, three brothers, five sisters, thirteen nieces and nephews, and many friends. Memorial service was held in Hebble Funeral Chapel on January 15, 1942, in charge of Pastors Holston and Hargis. Burial in Albion, Wis.
