Alice's will, made in 1837, is on file in the Office of the Registrar of Wills, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Alice names granddaughters (daughter of Olivia who was already deceased) but does not name her grandsons.

Comment - Either the transcribed copy of the will (see following notes) is incorrect (I am sending for a copy of the original (CAH3 23 February 2005) or Ms. Jarvis erred for unknown reason(s).

The Will of Alice (Powell) Ferree mentions the following heirs. I do not have the date of the will or when it was proved.

Additional Comment (CAH3 - 2/23/05) Amanda F. Bucher is Amanda Ferree Bucher, daughter Samuel Markes and Mary B. Ferree who married John Bucher. Margaret E. (O.) Ferree is the daughter of William Powell Ferree and Mary Stoddard. Also, note the middle name of Jacob Forbis Ferree. Does this resolve the question of marriage with a Forbush or Forbis?
